THERAPY FOR INDIVIDUALS & COUPLES THERAPY

THERAPY THAT MAKES YOU FEEL SEEN, HEARD, AND EMPOWERED.

HI, I’M AUDREY WATSON.

Licensed Therapist in Edmonds, WA

I believe change is possible when you feel understood and met exactly where you are. When you have a safe space to be honest, you no longer have to hide and hold what you’re going through alone.

I have over a decade of experience working with moms, couples, and driven adults navigating burnout, recurring conflict, and the quiet weight of a life or relationship that isn't working anymore. My clients are often the ones holding everything together and exhausted by it.

This is a space where you don't have to explain yourself. Where your emotions aren't a problem to fix but a place to start. Together we'll build a foundation of compassion and clarity around your experience, so you can show up differently for yourself, and for the people you love.

Most clients leave feeling understood, less alone, and more equipped to navigate their life and relationships with confidence. I’m trained in the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) and informed by attachment theory.

SPECIALTIES

  • You take care of everyone. But somewhere in the middle of all of it, you lost track of yourself. Therapy is a dedicated hour to slow down, process what you're carrying, and come back to who you are.

  • Every couple gets stuck. The same fight, the same distance, the same wall. Therapy helps you understand the cycle you're caught in, so you can stop fighting each other and start finding your way back to each other.

  • High achievers are often the last people to ask for help. But the anxiety, high standards, and the pressure you put on yourself has a cost. Therapy is where you learn to find balance and a way to still enjoy challenging yourself while still taking care of yourself.

  • You kept going until you couldn't anymore. Burnout isn’t weakness and there is nothing wrong with you. It's what happens when someone who cares deeply runs out of margin. This is a space to rest, recover, and figure out what is keeping you stuck and what needs to change.

  • Maybe you tend to pull away from others or maybe you are filled with anxiety and fear about someone leaving you. Or you might be a combination of the two.

The way you respond to connection is called your attachment style and it impacts every relationship you are in.

My approach is grounded in the belief that your earliest relationships shape how you experience yourself and others. With the right support, those patterns can change and you can develop what is called secure attachment where connection feels safe and good instead of stressful.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

01 Free Consultation

Schedule a free 15-min phone consultation to explore if we are a good fit to work together. From there, we will schedule your first session.

02 Build Trust & Clarity

Your initial session focuses on learning your history, what you’ve been struggling with, and what you hope to gain from our work together. From there, we can explore whatever you’re carrying that week and find a way forward.

03 Understand Patterns & Create Change

As we process your experience, we will be able to identify what is keeping you stuck. As you feel clarity, compassion, and understanding, you’ll be able to create the support and changes you want to make.

04 Live a More Connected & Confident Life

Over time, you’ll feel more confident in how to navigate your experience, emotions, and relationships. What once felt overwhelming you’ll meet with more ease, calm, and clarity.

  • Attachment theory is the idea that the relationships we had early in life with our caregivers, our family, and the people who raised us shape how we relate to ourselves and others as adults.

They influence how we handle conflict, how we give and receive love, how we respond when we feel threatened or disconnected. These patterns aren't flaws. But they can keep us stuck in ways we don't always understand. A lot of our work together will involve getting curious about these patterns, so you can start to change them.

  • My approach to couples therapy is rooted in helping you understand the cycle you keep getting stuck in. Rather than focusing on who's right or wrong.

Most recurring conflict isn't really about the dishes or the argument you had last Tuesday. It's about feeling unseen, disconnected, or unsafe with your partner.

I draw from the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy to help you identify that cycle, understand what each of you is really needing, and build the kind of safety and connection where those needs can actually be met. The goal isn't a perfect relationship, but an authentic one, where you both feel known.
